![]() ![]() He was a former member of the Inlet Mennonite Church near Wauseon and was a present member of North Clinton Church at Wauseon. Herbert was active in the Wauseon FISH Program. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time and doing things with his grandchildren, and also traveling with friends. He remained a farmer at heart even when he moved to Fulton Suites in 2017. Herbert became a farmer at a young age, helping his father and continuing with his own dairy farm until his retirement. ![]() He married Virginia Nofziger on July 25, 1948, and she preceded him in death Jan. Herbert was born May 7, 1926, near Wauseon, the son of Clarence and Ida (Yoder) Nofziger. 9, 2023, at Fulton Manor in Wauseon, Ohio. The Eagle-Marry Funeral Home in Morenci is assisting with arrangements. Memorial donations are suggested to Fayette Christian Church or St. Graveside services and a celebration of life at the Family Life Center in Fayette will take place at a later date. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband.Ĭremation will take place. She is survived by son Tony (and Robyn) Ferris daughter Kristie (and Stu Febesh) Ferris grandchildren Eric (and Jenny) Ferris, Matthew Ferris, Lisa Ferris, Andrew (and Kelsi) Ferris, and Jack Febesh great-grandchildren Donovan Ferris, Ryan Ferris and Juli Ferris three step-children nine step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren. Joyce was an avid camping enthusiast and spent the last 20 years as a snowbird in Florida. Recently, she donated her time with “The Crafty Ladies” of Morenci, making items for the underprivileged. She won many ribbons at the Fulton County Fair and worked in the fair office for 15 years. As an avid crafty person, she enjoyed crocheting afghans and sewing/quilting projects. After Andrew’s passing, she married her current husband of 32 years, Doug Mellott. Joyce married Andrew Ferris in 1958, and he preceded her in death in July 1989. She was born March 22, 1939, in Wauseon, Ohio, to Emerson and Frances (Strayer) Seiler. Joyce Ferris-Mellott, 84, of rural Fayette, Ohio, died Aug. ![]()
